The third generation of the NDir system added another layer that enabled entire page generation. This reduced the required /docs files to a single file with about six lines. A "template" was introduced which allowed specification for the page layout. Support for legacy sites and sites that were produced with other tools but which imported a dynamic pane was maintained.
In addition, a number of other enhancements were made including an option for a master horizontal menu, pull-out/down menus etc.
Another significant enhancement was the introduction of "in-site" editing. Previously editing of a website had been done through a generic looking system site, but now content editing was possible within the actual site itself. This was a major improvement in usability.
